MSP430 Error

Hi, 

I am using the Zigbee 1611 development board which contains MSP430F1611 along with C2400 transceiver and zigbee module. I am using JTAG interface (OMILEX JTAG Tiny). I am using CCS version 6 (windows 7) for the software coding. 

As soon as i debug my program i get the error: "MSP430: Error initializing emulator: No USB FET was found". Could you please tell me as to what should I do?

I have tried reinstalling CCS several times. I have also made sure the USB port and hardware is working. My project properties match to the correct MSP430. I have tried changing the USB ports in the project properties. I have also downloaded the various drivers needed. With the help of the drivers my windows now recognizes the device but the CCS still gives me the above error.

    Hi Priyanka,

    The issue does not reside in your installation of CCS, and if your Windows machine correctly recognizes the FET tool then the issue is most likely related to the physical connection between the MSP430-JTAG-TINY-V2 and DZ1611. Please make sure that your JTAG connector is plugged into the board header properly and that you are using the correct configuration of JP1 (1 for JTAG power, 3 for battery power). Have you reviewed the following app report (SLAA264) from which this board design was modeled? www.ti.com/.../slaa264.pdf
