Student Semester Project: Automatic Garden Watering System

This is a project that a team of 3 engineering students worked on during the spring 2016 semester at John Brown University. They designed and built a prototype for an automatic garden watering system for a garden size of approximately 100 square feet. The system can be turned on and off by the user through wifi communication. The system has three options:

1) The user can manually turn the system on and off. Provided that the rain container is not empty. Otherwise it is disabled.

2) The user can turn the system on at a specified hour of the day. Provided that the rain container is not empty.

3) The user can select an auto-watering option where the system is turned on automatically if 0.2 inches of water per square foot is not reached in a 24 hour period. Provided that the rain container is not empty.
