UART register settings

Hello,

Can you please help me determine the UART settings for the MSP430168 to set the channel baud rate to 115200 using SMCLK = 4MHZ as a source. I am not sure of the setting for the registers below to accomplish this:

U0MCTL = ?

U0BR0 = ?

U0BR1 = ?

An attempt was made to calculate these at one point. We were able to get it to work perfectly on 2618.

I dont have the hardware in front of my to try this out, however I believe this will work out.

U0MCTL = 72 (0x48)

U0BR0 = 34(0x22)

U0BR1 = 0

I just answered this question in another thread, giving the code for calculating the UxBRy values as well as the modulation setting for any baudrate and clock frequency.

You may try:

U0CTL = 0xBB;

U0BR0 = 34;

U0BR1 = 0;
