MSP430F2132 Power On Reset

Hi everyone, 


I´m working with a MSP430F2132 and my problem is without the programmer the MSP430 won´t reset after Power up. I have a custom PCB layout and for the Power on reset circuit i used SLAU278Y (MSP430 Hardware Tools Users Guide). Could a lower blocking capacitor at the VCC Pin cause that POR is not working?

    Hi Martin,

    Would you be able to share your schematic with us? Where in the MSP430 Hardware Tools User's Guide are you taking the POR circuit from? Also which programmer are you using?

    Hi, 

    thanks for your answer but i solved the problem on my own. It was not the POR which caused my problem, i have a temperature sensor connected with the MSP over i2c. This sensor has a POR itself where you should wait an amount of time until you start the communication. So after Power up the sensor wasn´t ready and the MSP hung in a while loop. 

    To answer your questions heres the schematic, i use the MSP-FET430UIF and it´s page 23 of the Hardware User Guide
