We are frequently using MSP-GANG programmers for production programming (it's working more or less stable...).
Now we ordered three new MSP-GANG programmers from Mouser and one of them showed a problem we never had before.
Selftest of the programmer was PASS without errors, programming in interactive mode works well, but loading image data to the internal memory gives error number 352 when running the PSA verification. After the image has been loaded the information about the image (shown in the MSP-GANG firmware) seems to be corrupt.
I get this error when loading the image with MSP-GANG software as well as when using the MSP-GANG DLL (the error pops up as soon as i call MSPGANG_VerifyPSAImageBlock).
I am sure the device is defective because the same process works with two other MSP-GANG programmers, but Mouser wants us to write a report about the problem here before returning the device.
The serial number of the defective device is: 1510-0710
MSP-GANG Software/DLL and firmware version is: 1.2.4.0
Here is the output from MSP-GANG software:
Reading Image data ...Done

Downloading Script Buffer...Verifying Script PSA ...Failed
ERROR 352: Image CRC error. Program terminated.
