convert .c into hex

Hello

I have made my program into visual basic C++ .c extension. I want to use this code into MSP430. I am using MSP430 USB-Debug interface to put this program into my chip.

can any one tell me how i will convert this into hex so that i can put this into my chip?

What IDE do you use? CCS?
For CCS, you can assign a post-build step to generate the hex file automatically.

Hi Singh!

Here is an explanation on how to generate an output file in CCS:

The example uses a .txt file, but you can simply select another output format in the last step.

I am using CCS6. I want to covert this "main.c" code to ".d43” for altium designer. Since my msp430 USB interface takes only .d43 file

How can I covert it so that i can put into my msp430 micro controller?

Also my msp430 micro controller takes ".d43" or ".txt" file extension.

so how can i covert to .d43 extension? .d43 is used in altium design.
