MCU Power Up Sequence

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F5229

I'm having trouble understanding what kind of time delay needs to happen between VDIO and VCC for the MSP430F5229? The datasheet is pretty vague with this information. Does it matter?

Found on page 21:

  • Hello Ari,

For the MSP430F5229 and its family of split rail parts (MSP430F522x/F521x), the only requirement is that VCC must be less than or equal to VIO, while VIO is below its minimal operating voltage. They can ramp at the same time, but VCC must not exceed VIO until VIO hits its minimal operating voltage. The power ramp down has a similar requirement.
