Hi Everybody,

I have msp430g2553 with launchpad and i'm working with ccs enviroment

I need to communicate with lcd with i2c bus protocol.

I wanted to know:

1. is there an examples for msp430g2553 with i2c protocol?

2. what lcd do you recommand to work with i2c protocol?

Hi Joe,

I2C examples are provided by TI: www.ti.com/.../slac485

There are several LCD boosterpacks that you could start with depending on what type of LCD you need (character vs graphical, color vs b/w, etc) but most of these utilize SPI communication instead of I2C for greater write speeds and bidirectional communication:
