Hi Support Team
Need help supporting a customer on MSP430 programming question, here is their question:
What we are trying to do is program a custom bootloader onto our MCU, the MSP430F5327. We can do it successfully in the office with an MSP-FET, but we are looking for confirmation as to whether or not the socket programmer we purchased for our production line is capable of flashing the write-protected bootstrap loader section of memory (Address range 0x001000-0x0017FF). We also intend to write to the information memory (Address range 0x001800-0x0019FF).
The socket programmer we intend to use is the FLASH-100, made by Hilo Systems in Taiwan (http://www.hilosystems.com.tw/en/). We have an open request to them for more information, but they have been a little bit slow in responding and there may the potential for miscommunication due to the language barrier. Do you know if there are any restrictions with third-party tools being able to flash this section of memory? Do you know of anyone at TI that may be familiar with this tool in particular?
Thanks
Jeff
