CapTIvate MCU programmable memory

Hi,

I haven't found any CAPTIVATE Technology MCU with more than 16 KB programmable memory. I'm interested in one with at least 32KB FRAM: Will there any available in  the near future?

Thank you so much

  • Hi Lluis,

At this time, CapTIvate is only available on devices with up to 15.5KB FRAM. If you need a bigger device, you might consider looking at a multi-MCU solution, or if you just need storage, adding on external memory.

Just as an FYI, the majority of the CapTIvate software stack actually resides in ROM, so it only uses 4 to 7 KB of FRAM (depending on sensor count, configuration, etc). What are you trying to do that this will not leave you with enough programmable memory for the rest of your software?

  • Thanks Mike.

In my application I use a wireless communication that requires about 14KB of FRAM while the rest uses about 10KB. It isn't possible to add an external memory and I need to develop a one-MCU solution for technical and economical reasons.

Is there available a Road Map for the MCU CapTIvate?

    Thanks you so much

  • Hello Lluis:

I am the marketing manager for CapTIvate MCU products. Thank you for your inputs for higher memory requirements. We are working on several roadmap devices and will certainly consider this input. At this time, we are limited to 15.5K NVM.

    Thanks,

  • Thank you very much Pradhyum. I am very grateful for your attention.
