Hi! I am using MSP EXP430G2 launchpad with MSP430G2231 chip, and I want to run the example blink , to blink a LED . I follow the instructions, but when I run it there is a problem. I see a new window "configuring the Debugger" and I have to wait for some minutes because it is it's first launch. But I wait for too long and nothing happens. What do you think the problem is?

Hi Nikolaos,

I've confirmed that the MSP-EXP430G2 LaunchPad supports the MSP430G2231 device, but can you please make sure that this 14-pin device is plugged into the DIP socket correctly? Refer to Figure 2 in the LP User's Guide. Was your setup working with other devices?

Can you please make sure that the jumpers on J3 are connected properly? I'm assuming you're using the on-board emulator. Refer to Table 1 in the LP User's Guide.

Which IDE are you using? IAR or CCS? Which version? Can you share any screenshots?
