Do we have a new DALI-2 Solution? or do we have a plan to develop solution?

    Ted,

    The only solution I'm aware of is the TIDM-MSP-DALI, and I do not believe there are any further solutions planned on the roadmap.

    I think we should start to develop DALI-2 solution as the lighting applications starting to adapt DALI-2.

    I had been involved in designing firmware for DALI devices/slaves a few years ago (left shortly before the "official" DALI 2 arrival), so I'd like to add my two cents here:

    First, there is rarely any desire for "low power" MCUs, since DALI devices are usually mains powered.

    Second, I experienced the lighting manufacturing as a "high-volume, low-cost" niche. The company I worked for always went for the cheapest possible MCU that did the job, and so did many competitors (we investigated those devices, too). In most cases, this were the 'infamous' Microchip PICs.  And my (former) company had no qualms to swap the MCU and/or the toolchain to pursue this course.

    I mean, the "there are any further solutions planned on the roadmap" statement might be justified.
