Hi,

I'm trying to program the MSP430F5310 through the BSL.

I use CCS6.2 to generate the intel .HEX file and TI.TXT file.

When I run the script, the TI.TXT file works fine, but the intel .HEX file gives the error:

[ACK_ERROR_MESSAGE]Packet Size exceeds maximum buffer size!

Refer to the attached log-files.

Is there something wrong with the .HEX file generated by the CCS6.2?

Hi Ben,

Thank you for providing the binary images as well as the log files, can you please state what version of the MSPBSL-SCRIPTER you are using? I will notify the BSL Scripter experts of this error so that they can investigate and provide a solution.

Thanks for your reply.

The version is BSL Scripter 3.2.0, as one can see in the log files. I think it is the lastest version available on the TI website.

Hi Ben,

I suspected that this is the same case with this thread here.
It is not that the CCS generates the wrong Intel Hex File, but there is a limitation inside the BSL Scripter to read the Intel Hex File that I have to improve.

Meanwhile, I will suggest you to use the TI TXT file, until we got the FSM being fixed.
