MSP432P401M: MSP432 Development Platform in EZ form factor

Part Number:

Hello,

Does TI anticipate an MSP432 Development platform arriving using the EZ Form Factor?

Thanks,

Wil Blake

  • What exactly do you mean with "EZ form factor"? Many LaunchPads have the eZ-FET (lite) emulator.

If you mean a small USB stick like the EZ430-F2013: that one uses a very small MCU chip with very few GPIOs, and an outdated emulator. It's unlikely that the MSP432 would even fit, and then you wouldn't be able to use most of its features, which would have been the whole point of a development platform.

Don't know about TI, but you can build by yourself CMSIS-DAP or extract MSP432 related code from MSP-FET open source firmware (MSP-Debug stack) and use some low cost MSP4305xx device with USB hardware module as (FET) target.
