The MSP-EXP430F5529LP contains a EZ-FET lite emulator. As per table Table 1. Debug Probes Features and Device Compatibility in the MSP Debuggers User's Guide SLAU647 the EZ-FET lite emulator supports all programmable MSP430 and CC430 devices which can use the 2-wire Spy-Bi-Wire (SBW) interface.Abel Kuriakose said:Can MSP430FG4250IRGZR be programmed with MSP430F5529 USB LaunchPad.If possible please tell how to do it.
Since the MSP430FG4250 only has a 4-wire JTAG interface, this means a MSP430FG4250IRGZR can't be programmed with a MSP-EXP430F5529LP launchpad.
You will need to use a debug probe which supports 4-wire JTAG. Suitable TI debug probes are the MSP-FET430UIF or MSP-FET.Abel Kuriakose said:So is there any way to program MSP430FG4250 without launchpad.
Olimex also produces the MSP430-JTAG-TINY-V2, for which the MSP430FG4250 appears in the list of supported devices.
