source code is not building in IAR.

After i learnt about using msp430,when i rebuilt the code, i felt shattered.

i followed the steps as explained by IAR work bench.

i use Embedded Workbench Kickstart for MSP430 4.21,SimpliciTI-IAR-1.1.1.

when i clicked Rebuild, the debug window shows messages 

 

                      "Building configuration: new1 - Debug 

                        Updating build tree... 

                       16  file(s) deleted. 

                       Updating build tree... 

                       bsp.c  "

 

IT JUST STAYS THERE, NOTHING HAPPENS. I "STOP BUILD " AFTER WAITING FOR LONG TIME.

PLZ,PLZ, ANYONE TELL ME WHY MY PROGRAM IS NOT BUILDING?HELP ME PLZ.

    Are you sure that it really does not build?

    Sometimes there are just all messages disabled. Look under 'Tools', Options', 'Messages'.

    You can specify which messages you want to see and/or if these are written to a log file instead.

    But then not even the text he's seeing should appear.

    Obviously it starts (and prints this) and then does not continue.

    One thing that could be wrong is that the total absolute pathname to soem of the project files exceeds 128 letters. That has been a showstopper for many programs which use an absolute path.
