What is the purpose of the BSL switch on the MSP430F5529 Launchpad

When both BSL & RESET button are pressed, and RESET released first, then device will enter to USB BSL mode.

If device reset vector is blank (0FFFFh) then device will enter to USB BSL mode by default without using BSL button.
