MSP430F2616: MSP430F2616 - DAC output drift

Part Number: MSP430F2616

Hi,

The MSP5430F2616  DAC O/P , specification mentions, CLoad  100pf max. ,  Rload > 3Kohm,  can sink or source 1mA max.

We have connected 100k ohm as pull down resistor & 1nF across it to reduce power on current shoot up. (4 to 20mA circuit is based on discrete Op-Amps)

Typical DAC O/P  will be around 1.8 V dc in our application .

We found that it drifts ( reduces)  after run of a week  time.

Does  1nf CLoad  affect it.

Drifts? How much? Please be specific. Are you sure that only factor that is changing - it's DAC drift? Are you sure that DAC reference voltage does not drift? How do you measure? What instrument used?

If reference is ok, the it could be just DAC temperature drift which is specified in the datasheet as 10ppm/C, you shall note also 30uV/C offset drift.

No. Unless it has significant leakage which increases after week.
