EM4306137 RF900 KIT CC430?

Since I needed a sub-1GHz solution with the MSP430 I ordered the CC430 EM4306137RF900 Kit. I have been unable to even come close loading the sample projects from the slac525b zipped files as referenced in the only document I could find. The error:

Error: Import failed for project 'Asynchronous_Communication' because its compiler definition is not available. The project does not appear to be a 'CCS Project'. Please try importing it through the 'General > Existing Projects into Workspace' wizard.

It is a CCS project by the way.

Anyway, with so little information, is the CC430 even a viable solution?

Hi Bruce

I will move this post to the MPS forum as they are the one supporting CC430 from a SW point of view.

If you do not need to use an msp430, the CC1310 would be a good solution if you are looking for a Sub-1 GHz Wireless MCU.

Hi Bruce,

Which version of CCS are you using? I'm running on CCS v7 and everything imported correctly for me. However, these examples are running on an old compiler version v4.1.0. You can either decide to download the old compiler and use it or use a more updated version.

I was using 6.1.2. Yes I was able to load the example in CCS V7.
