MSP430F5335: MSP430F5335 RTC Stops running when code is stopped in the IAR CSpy debugger

Every time that you stop at a breakpoint or stop program execution in the IAR CSpy debugger, the RTC_B module stops incrementing the date time registers on the MSP430F5335.  This is a real pain when you are trying to debug RTC code.  Is there any way to keep the RTC running no matter what is going on.  I always at least have power connected to VBAT, normally the other power supplies are always on during debugging also. 

In the ideal case, the RTC would just simply maintain the correct time no matter what is happening as long as VBAT is always connected.
