Hello,

We were using one I2C in our previous device, and currently we are planning to increase the feature set. Neither datasheet or User manuel calling out the pin number for the 2 poarts.

Can some one tell me exact pinouts or both I2C available in MSP430F5338?

I called techinical support, they dont have any answer on this.

The names of these signals are UCBxSDA and UCBxSCL.

The signals of the UCB1 module can be routed to P8.5/P8.6.
The signals of the UCB0 module can be routed through the port mapper to any P2.x pin; the default PM configuration has them on P2.1/P2.2.

Hello Mathew,

Clemens has already provided the answer, more information on the port mapping controller can be found in Section 6.12.2 and 6.13.2 of the Datasheet. TI also provides some PortMap examples, and although they do not specifically pertain to the UCB0 they should help you further understand how to initialize the mapping peripheral.

Thank you Clemens for the initial thought. So you are saying i can have the second I2C clock and data through any P2.X pin? If so how do i configure the mapping? can you please explain bit more?
