Interfacing MSP430F5438 and LCD

Hi all,

I am trying to display a 4x4 grid of numbers on the LCD. I have the MSP430F5438 experimenter's board but I am stuck at the MSP and LCD interface. I do have the pin diagram for both and I am not sure how do I proceed. Can anyone please suggest me how to go about it.

Hi RSK1206,

the MSP-EXP430F5438 (http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/msp-exp430f5438.html) comes with a with a complete set of example software - http://www.ti.com/litv/zip/slac227f - which also contains a driver for interfacing the LCD.

The functions you're looking for should all be there. You only need to specify the adress (were to display the data) and then write the new data to the LCD.

can you provide some alternative link. and just wanted to know tht which kind of protocol used while interfacing with LCD with exp board, SPI or I2C little confuse on this..
