CoRTOS is a very small and very simple RTOS for MSP430 processors.

The base kernel is just 16 lines of C. By simply adding files to the project you can add:

Task delay
Periodic signals
Messaging
Resource control / mutexes
ISR->task signaling

It is available on sourceforge

V1a - a minor update to CoRTOS is available in files below.

CoRTOS now works with interrupts enabled at all times.

CoRTOS is not a task scheduler.

CoRTOS works like any other RTOS. Tasks schedule themselves, picking up where they left off after making a call to the OS.

A very minor update:

Sending signals to the same counter by two interrupts of different priorities on RISC processors will need an interrupt enable/disable when incrementing the counter. Many RISC processors can not atomically increment memory values.

This does not apply to using the RTOS with the MSP430, the update is only here for completeness.
