MSP430G2955: Are all flash sectors the same size?

Hi all,

I am working with MSP430G2955 device. The data sheet states that the main FLASH memory range is 0x2100 - 0xFFFF.

It also states that flash sector size 512 bytes which is 0x200.

Dividing the memory range by sector size I get 111 sectors + 0x100 leftover.

Is one sector smaller than the rest or did I misunderstand something?

Hi Ugnius,

You are not misunderstanding anything but are correct in that the last sector (0x2100 to 0x2200) is only 256 bytes in size.

This is most likely due to the fact that the G2955 is a unique case, you will notice that the other MSP430G2x55 device's code memory addresses end in 0x000 instead of 0x100 and this is similar for most other MSP430 devices.
