MSP430F5529: Missing the data from UART, when reading from TDC 7200

Hi ,

We are reading the data from TDC7200EVM connected to MPS430F5529, at an rate of 40KHz and pushing this into UART. But, a lot data is missed from the UART

The SMClock is set to 4MHz, and baud rate is 38400.

We are transferring the time difference, from the TDC in a character string of length 7.And we are loosing like 98% of data.

We are thinking of increasing the Clock speed and increasing the baud rate. But, what is the limitation of this?

Any other technique that you could recommend?

Please read through our application report: Solutions to Common eUSCI and USCI Serial Communication Issues on MSP430 MCUs. This document includes solutions to the most common UART issues experienced and how to fix them. After reading through the document and seeing if your fix is there, please provide relevant code snippets of your clock initialization, UART initialization, and UART ISR's. Also, please connect a logic analyzer or scope to the TXD and RXD lines to monitor what is being transmitted.
