CCS/MSP430F6435: How to debugg and program this micro-controller from code composer studio.

Hello,

I m using MSP430F6435 in my project.I want to program and debug it using code composer studio via JTAG ,With the help of MSP-EXP430FR4133 Launch Pad.

someone tell me the hardware connection from target device to the evaluation board

and debugging procedure in ccs.

Hi Dhanraj!

Simply disconnect the RST and TEST jumpers between the emulation side and the processor side on the LaunchPad and use some wires from RST and TEST from the header on the emulation side to your processor. Then also connect GND and if your target has no own power, also connect the 3.3V supply pin. If your target has it's own power, make sure it is around 3.3V as well - otherwise your logic levels might not match and excessive current can flow through RST and TEST which might damage the internal protection diodes.

I have done correct connection but still getting the error-
"MSP430: Error connecting to the target: Unknown device"

thanks , issue resolved . there was hardware issue on target board.
