Hi,

I need to make some tests and expose my launchpad to a temperature range. I know datasheet says which is the operating temperature range of the microcontroller. But I don't have the information about all the launchpad MSP-EXP430fr6989. Because should exist a suitable range wich aplies for every components on this.

Hi Sara,

We do not spec a temperature range for LaunchPads. They are evaluation modules and are intended to be used at room temperature.

So, Can't I really know temperature limits for this? No literature? Not even an estimation?

Hi Sara,

Since these boards were designed to be used at room temperature for evaluation purposes, and not in an end product, we did not design or build the boards with extended temperature range in mind. Even if all the components on the board are rated to a certain range, we do not guarantee the board or the manufacturing is rated to the same range.

With that in mind, all we can recommend is that you use the LaunchPad at room temperature.
