CCS/MSP430FR5994: MSP-EXP430FR5994

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I am not able to simply open the out of box experience for CCS for MSP-EXP430FR5994.
I have made attempts using CCS's 'TI Resource Explorer' to select Example 'Out of Box Experience'
I have also tried using the TI Resource explorer to load individually provided Code examples.

The failure consists of clicking on Step 1: Import the example project into CCS.
At which point a small window pops up and disappears before displaying any information in addition to not loading the example into the Project Explorer.

I have made a parrallel attempt by downloading and loading the project without the TI Resource Explorer.

This attempt fails the same way.

I have made a few attempts at loading other projects from TI Resource Explorer.
I have success in attempting Out Of Box examples for:
    MSP-EXP430G2,
    MSP-EXP430F5529LP,
    MSP-EXP430FR5969,
    MSP-EXP430FR4133,
    MSP-EXP430FR6989,
I incur failure for
    MSP-EXP430FR2311,
    MSP-EXP430FR5994(this is the original problem i am having)

I am using
 Version: 6.1.1.00022 of the Code composer studio
on a 64 bit windows platform running Windows10pro.

Any help in getting these examples to function properly would be appreciated.

    Hi Dennis,

    The MSP430FR5994 is supported in CCS 6.1.3 and above. The current CCS version includes outdated compilers and support files that are not compatible with the newer devices. Please try checking for updates or consider upgrading CCS versions.

    Thanks Ryan. I was not aware that CCS version 7 was being distributed freely, which kept me from upgrading. I upgraded and everything is working. Thanks!
