MSP: code for msp430fr5959

Hello kinjal,

RTC example code is provided in the C code examples and with DriverLib. You should not source your example from the MSP430FR5739.

Thank you so much for your help.

I get RTC code from the C code example and load the same in my controller but still it doesnot work, it does not go in to the RTC interrupt subroutine. I am using IAR workbench for coding in that my debbuger doesnot go in to the interrupt.

The code works on my MSP-EXP430FR5969. Make sure that you have a 32 kHz crystal oscillator properly connected to the XIN/XOUT pins (with corresponding load capacitors) and that IAR is in debugger mode instead of simulator. If your code continues to not work then debug further and state if the code gets stuck in the LFXT fault flag loop before entering the LPM.

my code does not stuck in LFXT fault flag, but my RTC register value doesnot change while i am changing RTC control registers value. They are always showing fix value like 0x3FFF in every control register, so what will be the case here ???

It appears that you haven't set the RTCKEY of the RTCCTL0 register.

hello Sir,

according to your help i used RTCkey register but, msp430fr5959 does not support RTCKEY register.

i am using controller msp430FR5959, in that i used sample code of RTC from MSP430FR59xx C code examples: www.ti.com/.../slac536, to run RTC but RTC is not working.

 the problem is that  during code debugging in debbuger mode  my RTC controller register  values are fix to 3FFF they does not change though i had given command like

 RTCCTL01 = RTCTEVIE | RTCRDYIE | RTCBCD | RTCHOLD;

also in msp430fr5959 we have RTC_B , so you please help me to have RTC_B configuration for msp430fr5959, I had also given CS clock setting for 8MHZ  and given PJSEL0 = BIT6 | BIT7;  as msp430fr5959 have crystal in that pin.
