MSP430FR2633: schematic review

Part Number: MSP430FR2633

Do you do schematic review for msp430 designs?

Thank you

  • Hi, this is e2e forum with all the consequences: anybody can review or not, there are no any warranties regarding results, if any. If you want professional services - you shall contact & contract professionals, not "free for all" public forum.
  • Specifically I am asking TI not the community as they often provide schematic review of their parts for other professionals like myself simply to reduce risk and further support down the road. For example for every other TI part on my board a TI employee has responded and reviewed my design already. In the past we did this directly with our TI AEs or through distribution but since TI has changed their model to use the forums I am trying to play nicely and ask here.

Well, if you want to contact TI - you call TI, chat or e-mail them. I doubt that you would want to share your intellectual property with community anyway. Otherwise please show your schematic so we can "review" it.

In case your conversation with TI can be made public - yes. I am afraid that schematic review does not qualify.

  • Thanks as I said for every other TI part in my design they specifically asked me to make a post in the public e2e forum and then a TI employee jumped in and I sent them a schematic privately through this interface... That's why I'm asking here.

TI asks to post in community portal about issue which have nothing to do with community because it cannot be made public. - This even does not makes sense.

I would like to hear official TI statement about this "new way of using forums as meeting room to set-up private conversations". This shall be considered as spamming actually.

  • Hello Eric,

I have sent you an e-mail, we will now handle this request offline.

    Regards,
    Ryan

Ryan, please don't conveniently ignore my post.

I would like to know why TI asks customers to make public posts for requests which supposedly shall be handled offline?

  • Hi Ilmars,

Each support case is different and I cannot comment on why other groups within TI made the recommendation to publicize the schematic review request before handling it offline. Sometimes the E2E is the only way customers know how to reach a particular TI support team. Schematic reviews are done on a case-by-case basis depending on the depth and scope of the request being made.

    Regards,
    Ryan

You don't even have your opinion how good or bad (for community) it is?

So they are welcome to spam here with questions which brings community no good? So sad.
