Hello,

We made a device that must have a unique address, so during the production we need a tool that allow us to do this.

I tried uniflash, but didnt find any option for writing to a specific fram address.

What is the best solution for this?

Hello Eduardo,

The MSP-GANG Production Programmer is going to be your best option here. You can use it in script mode in order to program up to 8 devices simultaneous while allowing custom instructions such as unique address programming.

I started to think about the idea of using the 4 bytes of Lot Wafer ID of msp430fr2433 located in the address 0x1A0A-0x1A0D as a unique address code for each device. It would be easier.

What you think about this? Is this ID really unique?

Considering that there are about 10000 parts on a wafer, probably not.

But for this case, i could use the Lot Wafer ID and the die (x,y) position located in address 0x1A0E - 0x1A10.

Assuming that lot/Wafer means lot and wafer and not just lot, you should be OK.

Lot Wafer ID in combination with Die X / Y position is unique.

Anyway, for production (and generation of custom unique serial) can be used my SBW+ (MSP-GANG like) flasher.

It also display unique Lot Wafer / Die X / Die Y during get device command.
