After I load the code onto the microcontroller (MSP430FR2633) that I have on a PCB I created, I go to the CapTIvate Design Center to look at when the buttons are being pressed. When I try to check the connect box for each button I get an error no connected HID device. Does anyone know how to solve this?

Hello Maricela,

On the board you created, did you also pin-out the HID Bridge UART or HID Bridge I2C pins? Is the correct interface selected for your code download as well?

I'm not sure what pins are the HID Bridge pins, but here is a copy of my PCB. Also, how do you check what interface is set?

Hello Maricela,

Unfortunately, the image you uploaded is too low resolution for me to look at.

As far as HID connections are concerned, you need these connections in order for the CapTIvate Design Center to talk with the MSP430. Typically this is done via UART, but an I2C option is available as well. Please see the following links to the technology guide for more information.
