MSP432P401R: Starting a 7 inch TFT display project

I am planning to start a project using msp432p401r launchpad with a 7 inch TFT touch screen. This is my first time doing such a project. I hope that I can get some advice on following questions,

1. I have searched for 7'' TFT touch screen. Most of them are compatible with Arduino and Raspberry PI. Can anyone provide an idea of choosing the right TFT touch screen?

2. For the program, is there a library that suitable for 7 inch TFT touch screen?

Could you please share more details on these displays?? What is the resolution that you are looking for??

This one http://www.ti.com/tool/BOOSTXL-K350QVG-S1 in particular is fully supported by the graphic libraries that are part of the MSP432 SDK. It is 3.5" TFT LCD with resistive touch screen.

Thanks for your reply. I know there is a boosterpack with a 3.5'' TFT LCD. But I want a bigger screen for my project.

Is it very hard to program on MSP432P401R launchpad if I purchase one of those screen? And what library can I use?

Hi David,

I took a quick look at that display and yes, you should be able to interface this display with the MSP432

Not really, there are 4 files that you will need to update.

I did something similar but for a different display "SSD2805" (from SPI to 8 bit parallel), so you can use these files as reference.

You can still use the graphic library that is available as part of SimpleLink MSP432 SDK

I have found one LCD that using UART. It is easier for me to work on.

Hi David,

The LCD I have is 7'' and the resolution is 800x600. I found this LCD on taobao.com, the model number is TJC8048k070. The manufacturer provides software to program the LCD which is convenient for me.

Because I want a bigger screen, so I didn't chose the boosterpack.
