MSP430F5438A: LPM3: 4uA current consumption difference when selecting DCO or XT1 as MCLK/SMCLK source

Part Number: MSP430F5438A

Hi!

I was investigating some current consumption differences in LPM3 when I found out that the MCU draws more current when MCLK=SMCLK=XT1 in LMP3. If I use MCLK=SMCLK=DCO the current consumption in LPM3 is almost 4uA (!) less. Ok, we know that the DCO is shut down in LPM3 but just for curiosity: Why is there such a significant difference? Is it because the dividers for SMCLK and MCLK still require current when the input clock is operating?
