Linux/MSP430F5529: Problem interfacing with ARM64

Part Number: MSP430F5529
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ENERGIA

Tool/software: Linux

Hi guys,

Hope you're having a good day. I'm having trouble with the msp's debugger in the msp430f5529lp. I am using the back-channel application UART on the msp430 to communicate with it. After a certain amount of time two LEDs' pop up on the MSP (power and mode) indicating that the debugger is awaiting communication when no call to it has been made (Becky you don't even go here). This only happens when using the Jetson TX1 from Nvidia which runs ARM64 variants of Linux. Whenever I connect it to a x86-64 PC running Ubuntu with ccs and mspdebug it runs just fine. I tried installing them on the Jetson to see if it would help however the binaries from TI for CCS and Energia are incompatible with ARM64 and the mspdebuger isnt quite working. Any idea on what could be causing this issue or how to install mspdebug or ccs.

Thanks,
Jose Montes
