Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F5229

Dear all ;

GREETINGS .

Please where can I get the example design files and documents of low power pedometer Adel345 with map430 ( SLAA599) ?

There's no design file in the example page .

Looking forward to your reply quickly .

  • Hello Salwan Nabeel,

    The pedometer library discussed in SLAA599 was developed and tested on an MSP430F5229 MCU using an ADXL345 accelerometer.  I'm not sure if I have the original PCB/SCHEMATIC files for that project.  The design is simple, using an MSP430 and ADXL345 with I2C communications SDA, SCL and Interrupt pin connecting the two together.  If I come across the PCB files I will reply with attachment.

    Note,  the pedometer library was created so it could be run on just about any MSP430 that has sufficient memory.  You could run this library on many of the MSP430 launchpads and connect to any of the popular and readily available 10 or 12-bit accelerometers.  If using a different accelerometer, you will need to create your own I2C or SPI driver (depending of the device you choose).

    The ADXL345 accelerometer I used is a 10-bit device and uses I2C to communicate with the MCU.

    TI does have a SENSOR-BOOSTER pack that could be used on an MSP430 launchpad, but it uses a BMI-160 sensor.  The design files and software drivers for that PCB can be found here:

  • Dear Dennis ;

    First many thanks for your reply and support .

    second i want the pedometer algorithm not the interface between adxl345 and msp430 and slaa599 there's no details related to this issue , So why the website below removed the pedometer library and example

    software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html code ?

  • Hi Salwan,

    If you scroll further down to the bottom of that page that you linked, you should see this where you can click to fill in a form and then download:

    Are you not seeing this?

    Regards,

    Katie

  • Hi Selwan,

    Were you able to download the code?

    Regards,
    Katie
