CCS/MSP430G2553: FLASH

Part Number: MSP430G2553

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Good evening, I have a concern about whether I can save data in the internal memory of the MSP430G2553 as an eprom I am new with this microcontroller Thanks in advance

  • Short answer is yes. using information memory segments B-D is pretty easy but don't expect the segments to last beyond a few thousand erase/write cycles; they're not what I would call ultra-durable. using segment A is little trickier, as misuse can result in loss of calibration data. See chapter 7 of SLAU144J. Controlling the flash controller clock frequency is critical to get proper operation of the erase and write operations and failure to get it right is perhaps the most-often-encountered error wrt flash operations.
