RTOS/MSP432P401R: Linear Algebra library for MSP432

Good afternoon,

I am currently using the Sensors BoosterPack along with the MSP432 Board and I am trying to implement a Kalman Filter for the sensor fusion. I was wondering if there is there is a Linear Algebra that can be used within the Code Composed Studio since the filter design needs matrix multiplication operation.

Carmen,

We have something called IQMath Library, but this was primarily used for the 16-bit MSPs. The more recommended path in this situation would be to use the CMSIS DSP Library provided by Keil, which uses the FPU on the MSP432 Cortex M4 enabling faster arithmetic. Hello Evan!

Thanks for the reply! I read the application node and I guess I can use the Matrix functions from that library. However, it is still not clear to be how to import the files from the DSP CMSIS library into the an empy-TIRTOS project.

Can you guide me through that? Thanks.

I sort of followed it for the Empty TI-RTOS.

Carmen, sounds great! We are actually working on providing some documentation/training on how to get started using CMSIS DSP Library and MSP432 also right now, but this is a great starting place and glad you've been able to get running!
