with a great interest I have read the app note "TI Designs Memory Emulation Using 1-Wire® Communication Protocol". It would be indeed great to try this design as a starter as well as an educational source. Besides this, I simply think that combination of 1-wire with FRAM and low-power MCU is a great idea. However, for some uknown reason, the mentioned SW package TIDM-1WIREFREEPROM seems to have disappeared.
Might it be the case it is due to doubt of patent implications? I tried to answer the question at *1)
Despite the fact the patent has expired, I think it would be indeed great to have similar sourcecode even in other cases where patents may be applicable -- simply because there are lots of use cases, where patent law does not harm (e.g. self education and public research).
Please, does anybody have the TIDM-1WIREFREEPROM code at the hand? I would really like to try it asap, and thus start with the amazing FRAM kit.
