RTOS/MSP430F5529: How to create a static library based on MSP430F5529 TI-RTOS ?

Hi all,

Before a few of days, I can use CCSv6.2.0.00050 and tirtos_msp43x_2_20_00_06 to create a static library of MSP430F5529 based on TI-RTOS. However, now I can't create a static library of MSP430F5529 based on TI-RTOS. In "New CCS Project"--> "Project templates and examples", I failed to find TI-RTOS Example.

How I should do it?

Hi Gilbert,

It looks like you are using CCS7, correct? If so, I suspect that you installed it after you already had RTOS and it didn't pick up the path.

In the menu bar, try going to "Window", open "Preferences", click "Products", and click "Add..."

Then direct it to your TI-RTOS installation directory, and click ok.

Click "Rediscover", and it should find it and prompt you to update.

After that it should give you the templates back. Let me know if that doesn't work.

Hi Cameron,

It is correct, I am using CCSv7.10.00016 and tirtos_msp43x_2_20_00_06 now.

In "Window"-->"Preferences"-->"Products", it has showed the all products installed.

The following picture shows all products installed in my PC.

How should I do it?

Nothing happened. Clicking "Rediscover" can't cause any change.

My apologies. I do not believe this is resolved. I used an internal feature that we are Beta testing, and it marked the thread as such. Please know that you still have my attention.

Hi,

Addressing the template issue: I don't see anything on the release notes of the TI-RTOS version 2.20.00.06 (check here), but it may be possible that more recent versions of TI-RTOS removed the project templates from the CCS Project Wizard in favor of the pre-existing example projects available in the TI Resource Explorer.

I will confirm this information with a TI-RTOS expert and report back.

Just FYI, I have both versions 2.16.01.14 and 2.20.00.06 installed in my CCSv7.2 and see the Project Templates only after I added the earlier version.

Regarding creating a library project with RTSC components, I suspect the issue itself is a bit more involving. This thread discusses the subject in detail.

I have tried to import my own static project created in CCSv6.2, and make sure that can work successfully.
