CCS/MSP432P401R: Bring me some light

Part Number: MSP432P401R

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello my friends,
I have a huge problem with my project. I can not run SDard. I've done everything, I have a version of MSP432, not red, but black, and I've tested everything. The problem is that my program does not make any mistake, I'm getting desperate will someone help me? I'm using code composer studio, program in c, through cmsis.

  • Hello,
Can you provide a little more history about the testing that you have done so far?

    (1) Have you tested a simple SPI example to confirm that there are no hardware related issues (connects, ground, etc)?
    (2) Do you have any example SDCard example to confirm that the setup is correct? (dev.ti.com/.../
    (3) Has there been any peer review of you code?
    a) Are you using an rtos?
    b) What version of CCS are you using?
    c) Can you describe the mechanism for moving data to/from the SDCard?

    Chris

PS. Using the black launchpad (revision B silicon) is not recommended.
  • Hello Chris Sterzik,
First of all I thank you for your contact.
(1/ 2) Yes, I tested an example in SPI to verify if the problem would be mine or the hardware, the fact is that with the existing example "fatsd_MSP_EXP432P401R_TI". With this example and with the same connections I used to my prototype I get data inside my SDcard.
(3)I used part of the code developed by Bluehash, making the modifications that would be necessary for my project. Ie I used CMSIS, and tried not to integrate the drivel library.
-(a) basically part of my program is based on serving as a response to the sending of data in real time, but the frequency of sending is low because it is temperature variations and these are quite slow.
    b) last one 7..
    c) What kind of mechanism? It is only an information transmitter (data storage) and not a read, so it is a sending mechanism. Did I respond to what you intended?

I can share my code with you, if you want.
    Thank you, regards.
  • This issue has been solved. I made a code with recourse to CMSIS, and i got the SDcard to work, using part of the FATFS library. tanks
