MSP-EXP430FR5994: Out of Box GUI problem

Hi.

I´m new in the ti ecosystem and I have problems with the Out of Box.

I have installed CCS v7 and the drivers. I debugged the out of box main.c. But when I try to execute the OutOfBox_MSP430FR5994_GUI something does´t work because I click the connect button but it doesn't connect. It stay "connecting..." forever.

Hello Marcos,

Have you tried not starting the GUI until after the device is plugged in? Once the device is initialized with windows , you should be able to start the GUI and hit Connect. It should scan for serial posts. Once that is done, make sure to select the serial port that is labeled as MSP Application UART wihtin your device manager.

Yes I did it. The MSP Aplication UART1 appears in Divece Manager and I can debug in CCS, but when I run the GUI and press the connect button, it stay connecting and I can´t sellect the correct COM port.

Sorry for the delay, I was focus on the code.

I fix it uninstalling the version 7.2 and installing the 6.2. Now it works.
