I have an OLIMEX MSP430-P2618 kit and a MSP430-JTAG-TINY-V2 connector.

My laptop is windows 7
code composer version 5.5

I've downloaded the driver for the connector from the OLIMEX wesite. ( a snap shot of my device manager is attached )

and here is the website for the JTAG.

I don't know what I am doing wrong .I keep getting the same error over and over again .
please help.My senior project depends on it .

By default CCS isn't able to use an Olimex MSP430-JTAG-TINY-V2, since the MSP430.dll in the CCS installation doesn't recognise Olimex JTAG debug probes.

The README.txt file in the Olimex Windows drivers + MSP430-JTAG-TINY-V2 firmware version 2.0.0.7 says to overwrite the TI MSP430.dll in the CCS installation with the Olimex version to allow CCS to use the Olimex MSP430-JTAG-TINY-V2, but that means then CCS can no longer communicate with the TI MSP430 debug probes.

An alternative is to modify the CCS XML files to allow a selection to be made to use either a TI or Olimex MSP430 debug probe - see https://www.olimex.com/forum/index.php?topic=3530.msg18125#msg18125

Thank you so much. It is working perfectly now . Something else happened though, the power led on my Board stopped working after I finally debugged the code . could that be normal ??? I tried the blinking Led example and the led does blink even when the power led is off.
