MSP430FR5869: Non F/W GPIO statement

Hi Champs,

I would like to make sure.

Even If we input supply voltage(=2.0V) with no F/W statement, the GPIO statement is "Lo" even this sytem add external pull up statement ?

I think this should be "Hi" when system set external pull up. Is this correct ?

Hi Kz777,

I assume you apply an external pull on a dedicated GPIO pin and apply supply voltage while your device is not programmed (whole memory 0xFFFF), correct?
Can you please tell me teh detailed part number including package option and revision. Also I need to know on which pins you apply the external resistor?
Then I can quickly cross check it in lab.

Hi Kz777,
sorry but I'm still confused what means no F/W statement? Does it mean you did not program anything the part.
If you program something please ensure the LOCKLPM5 bit in the PM5CTL is set so that you GPIO settings get effective (see user's guide Digital I/O chapter part "Configuration After Reset".

This is not trouble. I would like to make sure GPIO statement without F/W.

Is this same as after BOR that is discribed by 12.3.1 of user's guide ?

so you have not seen any issue right?
Yes the descritpion in user's guide is correct as long as the GPIO pins are not initialized according the procedure described in chapter 12.3.1. they are configured to high impedance (input floating) which means an externally connected pull up will pull this pin high.
