MSP430F2370: Can XDS110 be used as a programmer for MSP430F2370

Hello All,

I have a MSP-EXP432P401R eval board which has a on-board XDS110 debug unit which can be isolated from onboard target and can be used for programming other targets. But I am failing to do so as I get error msg : "USB-FET is not found." I used MSP430 flasher application to flash the firmware to my target device MSP430F2370. So can I use the above mentioned method or should I purchase a MSP430 programmer module from market or T.I? If I can continue the above mentioned method what changes has to be made.

    AFAIK, XDS can not be used for flashing MSP430 devices. Any (low cost) Launchpad with eZ-FET Lite on board (for example 5529 LP) can flash all MSP430 devices by SBW. Unfortunately your device has only full JTAG, and not SBW support, so it can be flashed only by TI MSP-FET, and similar (not low cost) devices.
