MSP430FR2433: ADC 1.5 V reference current consumption

Part Number: MSP430FR2433

Hi,

The user guide http://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/slau445 specifies the ADC reference current is to be found in datasheet http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/msp430fr2433.pdf however datasheet contains no such information.

Does anyone know how much current the1.5V reference actually use? How about ADC ref buffer?

Thanks.

  • Hello Cristian,

I agree this is not clear in the datasheet. I will be working the design team to get clarification here for an official answer. From my understanding, the 1.5V reference is part of the PMM. Specifically, it seems it comes off of the Core LDO thus it's current contribution would by equal the Core LDO current. My best guess here would be the LPM3 current numbers as the core is still on and nothing else. Thus it should be less than 2uA, but maybe closer to 1-1.5uA. Of course, this is just a guess and we will need confirmation from the design team for an accurate number. This may take some time however.
