Links to documentation

Hi, I have a suggestion that would help me (and I assume everyone else) with using your website to find the most current documentation.  Every time I find the manuals for the TI parts I am using, I create links in my browser to quickly find them.  Inevitably, after a few months, you update the documentation and remove the old documentation.  This creates dead links.  The next time I use my link to find some documentation  all I see is a page that says that says I've reached a dead link.  This is very frustrating.  Here is a way you could fix this.  Instead of reaching a dead link, you could have a page that says "This documentation has been revised.  For the most recent version, click HERE."

  • Thanks for the suggestion, Samuel.  If instead of bookmarking the likely-to-change document, if you bookmark the Product Folder page for the device, then click on the link(s) for the documentation from there, you will always get the most recent version.  By doing this, you can also easily see if new documentation (App Notes, Design Notes, etc) have been added to the list of helpful documents, so you are always presented with the latest and greatest information.

    Regards,

  • Hi Samuel!

If you click on a link for a datasheet you might notice that there is a different address than the final one in the browser for a very short time. If you copy this one instead of the final one, you should always be routed to the latest document.
