Hi Support,

which level of Security can we provide to our UART-BSL users for MSP430F677x family?

Do we have specific secure code that can be used instead of stadard UART BSL?

    Hi Alberto,

    Please see Sections 1.10 & 1.11.2 of the Family User's Guide along with Table 1 and Section 3.6 of the Flash BSL User's Guide (SLAU319). The MSP430F67791A UART BSL is password protected (0xFFE0 to 0xFFFF) with the ability to mass erase memory on an incorrect password and can be completely disabled by using the signature (0x17FC to 0x17FF) or erasing the BSL entirely (0x1000 to 0x17FF). The BSL resides in main memory and can be customized if desired, resources are provided in the CUSTOM-BSL430 software package found on the MSPBSL tools page.
