MSP430F149: How to view the reset source

Part Number: MSP430F149

I would like to ask MSP430F149 which register can view the reset source, such as knowing whether the MCU is a watchdog reset or power reset

THANKS!!!

  • Hello Jason,

Unfortunately the MSP430F1xx devices do not contain this feature. This registered was added to later devices such as our MSP430F5xx and MSP430F6xxx devices. it is also featured in our FRAM devices. Beyond the Watchdog or RST/NMI flags, there is just not a way to tell what caused a reset on this family of devices.
  • Hi,Jace

When the power supply voltage is 0.9v, the MCU is in what work state?

    Best regard!

  • Hello,

Minimum operating voltage for this part is 1.8V. Once the voltage is below V_POR voltage, it should issue a POR. Please datasheet for actual V_POR values, but 0.9V is below this threshold, thus the device should issue a POR.
