I have no experience in CCs and for this reason I would really appreciate if you can answer in the easiest way possible.

I have a LaunchPad DRV8702-Q1 EVM with MSP430G2553.

I use CCs 7.2.0. with Windows 10.

I communicate with the PC with a micro usb cable.

I'm not able to connect with the device, it says "MSP430: Error initializing emulator: No USB FET was found".

I already tried to:

- connect with all usb ports in the PC

- install/update the driver using this link 

- launch CCs with the anti-virus disactivated.

- try all these solutions on another PC using Windows 8.

    Hello Simone,

    The USB connection is not enough to program the MSP430G2553, you need to wire a MSP430 FET tool (MSP-FET, eZ-FET, eZ430, etc.) to the Spy-Bi-Wire (J3) connector of the DRV8702-Q1EVM in order to program the device. Please see the MSP Debuggers User's Guide (SLAU647).
